Everyday Magic

Sunday stroll #14 - Vesterlyng by Céline Hallas

South of the small port Havnsø you find Vesterlyng - a large nature reserve and Sjællands largest coastal heath. Not fare from here Daniels parents has a cottage and therefore this area has played a major role in his childhood. We have only visited it a few times and therefore we chose to take a Sunday stroll here and experience it together.

We drove to Havnsø where we shopped some food for lunch and the kids saw something as exotic as a phone booth, then we drove to the beach and ate our food there with the most beautiful view from the car seat.

Here after we went for a long walk through the extraordinary landscape the coastal heath creates. We saw cows and played in the flat landscape where only small ponds or maybe puddles breaks the horizon - I have never experienced anything like this.

We were there for hours and ended up on the beach just sitting and looking at the water - before we drove home to Daniel parents for dinner.

Sunday stroll #13 - Søndersø by Céline Hallas

Once again we returned to Søndersø. I am totally in love with the area!
We went for a late walk and the already gloomy day only got darker and more foggy as the twilight toke over.
I can't wait for spring to come and see this amazing palce in all of its green glory. The good part was that the forest floor had started to turn green and small plants had broken through the brown soil all over.

Sping is here!

Sunday stroll #12 - Søerne by Céline Hallas

Allll most up to date now on our Sunday strolls.
This Sunday was the weekend after the new issue of Enfants Terribles went online and I was so tired. We had spent the first part of this Sunday at Irmas food fair together with what seemed like the rest of Copenhagen, so even though it was really good, we needed fresh air and we a Sunday stroll was perfect.

Because the fair was held on Vesterbro we went for a walk at Søerne, very convenient. The kids fed the ducks with organic rye bread from Irma and climbed trees, while we tried not to knocked over by runners. It was a sunny Sunday and it meant that there was an infinite number out for a run - this is the bad part about having a Sunday stroll with kids here, you had to be on the lookout all the time in order to prevent a collision.

We walked around two of the lakes and on our way back Daniel and Sammie went out to shop, while Sienna and I stayed at the lakes and was silly and went to play at the nearby playground. It got cold and we returned home with a cup of hot cocoa in our hands!
